The token, explained

$KNVO is a fixed-supply ERC-20 utility token for the ecosystem around Kanvo. It is designed to be spent on the services Kanvo meters — the AI features and the enterprise tools — and earned by the apps and agents built on Kanvo. Nothing in Kanvo requires it. This page says what that means, where the token stands today, and what it never does.

Every service has a meter, and the token is designed to settle them

Kanvo's AI features and enterprise tools are priced per use. Today they are paid for in Credits. $KNVO is the token those same meters are designed to accept, so someone who holds it can tender it for a service the way a merchant takes a currency it accepts.

Two units, kept apart on purpose

Credits are the application's prepaid balance: fixed to the dollar, bought with a card, spent on services, never transferable. $KNVO is the ecosystem's token: market-priced, transferable, on-chain. A Kanvo user can buy Credits, use every feature and never touch the token. That is the intended path, not a fallback.

The same token that pays for a service is what a service earns

Agents and apps reach Kanvo through its MCP server and REST API. The design has third-party services built on Kanvo earning the token, with Kanvo no longer the counterparty. What a visitor can try today is the developer surface and the wallet surface; the earning side is the stage after next.

A fixed supply, and when each part of it arrives

875,000,000 $KNVO, minted once. A cap constrains one side of a market and says nothing about the other, so it is not a reason to expect a price to rise. What a holder actually faces is how much is unlocked, who controls it, and what unlocks next — which is why the whole schedule is published before anything is distrib…

Six stages, each gated on the last

The application comes first and has to earn the token: retention and paying users at scale, then counsel's sign-off, then genesis with every disclosure live, and only then the first service that accepts the token. Launching the token before the application has earned it would make the token the product and the applica…

The test every mechanism has to pass, and what fails it

What useful function does this provide to a participant who is not acquiring $KNVO for price speculation? The mechanism must be one a reasonable person would still want if $KNVO's price were flat forever. Applied honestly, that question rejects most of what a token roadmap usually contains.
